Gay activists have organised a solidarity rally in Dublin's Phoenix Park today - following reports of an alleged homophobic attack during the week.
Three gay men were reportedly "chased" with knives, prompting Gardaí to engage with LGBTQ+ advocacy groups.
The incident was raised in the Seanad by Fine Gael Senator Barry Ward.
Today's 'protest walk and picnic' is scheduled to begin at 2pm, at the concrete shelter in The People’s Garden.
