Germany will offer the AstraZeneca vaccine to all adults.
The country's Health Minister says there are plans to shorten the interval period between the two doses of the jab from 12 weeks, while there's hopes to offer 12 to 18 year olds a vaccine by the end of August.
In Ireland, only those aged over 60 are being offered the vaccine due to fears around rare blood clotting events. The European Medicines Agency has said the benefits of the vaccine in preventing severe cases of Covid-19 outweighs the risk of blood clots.
