Glennon Brothers has won the ‘Softwood Trader of the Year’ Award for a third consecutive year.
It's the Timber Trade Journal’s most coveted award.
The award was once again open to companies across the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe, to vote for their choice of ‘Best in Class’ timber supplier.
Established in Longford in 1913, Glennon Brothers employs 500 people directly, and another 250 people indirectly, providing a significant boost to rural economies.
The company has invested over €100m in the past two decades in its four sawmills, in Scotland and Ireland.
The company announced in May that it had a signed a deal to takeover a rival sawmill facility in Enniskillen in Northern Ireland.
It supplies both the UK markets and Irish markets with products for the construction, pallet wood and fencing industries.
