There will be a celebration of all things Roscommon this weekend as part of Global Rossie Day. The event follows on from Culture Night and is aimed at bringing Roscommon people around the world together. Town Teams across the county will be marking the day with support from Roscommon County Council.
Roscommon Tidy Towns Chairperson Rita Kearney says organisers have been hard at work. Speaking to Shannonside News, she said the annual event was all about connection to the county:
