A local TD says despite a conversation with the Taoiseach in recent days she will vote no confidence in the Government tomorrow.
Marian Harkin believes the coalition have failed to deliver on key issues around housing, health and regional development
While the Independent deputy feels the motion put down by Sinn Fein will not succeed she believes she must call out the Government for a lack of change over the last two years.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show the Sligo/Leitrim TD stated no deal was discussed during her respectful but forthright call with Michael Martin and she must represent the views of people in tomorrows vote:
People delivered a fairly strong message, that they wanted to see change in policy direction.
That was the last election. they weren't interested in more of the same.
Two of the bench marks that were set were housing and health.
I think any observer who is independent , as I hope I am, would look and say you haven't passed that test.
