A row is brewing within Government over new plans to house those fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Plans brought to cabinet by Integration Minister Roderic O'Gorman yesterday, would see housing provided for Ukrainian refugees for only three months.
After that they would either have to accept offers of beds from private households, or try to secure their own accommodation in the private rental market.
However, it's understood Tánaiste Micheál Martin and other Fianna Fail Ministers are concerned about the impact that would have on the Department of Housing which is already grappling with a housing shortage and record homeless figures.
