In July, Simon Harris indicated a short-term solution to the Lough Funshinagh crisis would go to planning by the end of August.

The Taoiseach's deadline for submitting a planning application for flood-relief works in south Roscommon, has not been met.

In July, Simon Harris indicated a short-term solution to the Lough Funshinagh crisis would go to planning by the end of August.

This would protect homes in the Rahara area from being flooded over the winter.

Local Independent Ireland TD Michael Fitzmaurice says he's very disappointed with the delay.
