GP urges older people to wait to be called for vaccine rollout

People across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are being advised that the rollout of Covid 19 vaccinations will be on a named basis only.

GP practives have been working to identify patients over 85 as the first grouping for the jab which is set to begin next week.

The vaccinations will be ordered according to those named individuals who will be contacted by their GP directly.

Ballygar GP and former President of the IMO Martin Daly is urging people who may not to panic, their local practice will be in touch with them.
