New figures have shown that Irelands rate of Covid 19 in now the highest in the European Union.
The ECDC says the country has a 14-day rate just over 500 cases per 100,000 people just ahead of Cyprus, at 496.
Yesterday the Department of Health confirmed a further 1,751 new cases.
The Granard LEA has twice the national incidence rate, with 107 cases in the last two weeks, it's rate now stands at 1002.
There's been 187 cases in Boyle's LEA and its incidence rate is 856.
The Roscommon LEA is next at 712, there were 162 new cases of Covid 19 in the area in the last two weeks, and with 86 new cases Longford's LEA stands at 536.
The Ballymahon LEA has had 53 Covid cases in the last two weeks to Monday, bringing its incidence rate to 367.
With 54 cases, Carrick on Shannon's rate is under the national average at 475 and just 22 cases in Ballinamore sees the area stand at 334.
Covid 19 seems to have eased somewhat in the Athlone Local electoral area, it's had 56 cases in the last two weeks to Monday, making it's incidence 280 cases per 100,000 of population.
