A Granard Councillor is calling on the HSE to do whatever is necessary to speed up the development of a special scanning centre at Mullingar Regional Hospital.
It's three weeks since PJ Reilly begun to get prolonged headaches, which were the result of a bleed on the brain.
He was admitted to Cavan Regional Hospital over two weeks ago, and the bleed was only discovered through an MRI scan.
In thanking the staff at Cavan hospital, the Fianna Fail representative says he was lucky that they had the facilities to be able to diagnose his issue, he says it's very important that the HSE makes the construction of a new MRI building in Mullingar a priority:
