The Lus Na Greine Family Resource Centre in Granard has been providing much needed support for Ukrainian refugees who've been living locally over the past several months.
The centre is presently running English language classes with the help of Longford/Westmeath ETB, and the Drop In Centre also provides people with a 'port-of-call' in terms of trying to find out about services and the local area.
Manager at the centre Eileen Finan says the resource centre can be a good help to people who are new to the area, and they've already had experience with families fleeing Syria in recent years.
She says Ukrainian people living in north Longford area have been settling in as well as they can, and Lus Na Greine is doing everything it can to assist them.
