It's hoped that the new Granard Motte Heritage Park tourist attraction will open next year.
The multi-million euro project, announced initially in July 2019, is set to lodge a slightly amended planning application for the 15-acre site in the coming days with Longford County Council.
The design of the project is now 'frozen' with hopes that works on-site can begin later this year, with an opening date in 2022.
A public meeting is being online tonight at 7.30 to offer locals an update on the project which is expected to employ around 30 people when it is fully operational.
