The CEO of Mayo/Roscommon hospice says she probably underestimated the power of the movement in bringing people together for one common cause.
A purpose built hospice unit was opened in Castlebar just under a year ago and work on a similar facility in Roscommon town began in January of this year.
Martina Jennings says several million euro has been gathered through fund raising across the two counties in recent years and there has been great co-operation between the people of the two counties in supporting both projects.
