Large urban areas have recorded the highest number of Covid cases in the Shannonside region in the last fortnight.
The greater Athlone area recorded over 80 covid cases in the two weeks - with 66 in the LEA on the Westmeath side of the River Shannon.
The Athlone-Moate LEA has had 66 cases in the last fortnight - resulting in a Covid incidence rate of 290- well above the national average of 134.1
In Roscommon, both the Boyle and Roscommon LEAs recorded 25 cases each, with 18 in the Athlone area.
25 cases have been confirmed in the Longford LEA and 24 cases in the Ballymahon area with both counties recording incidence rates above the national average.
11 Coronavirus cases have been also confirmed in the Granard area.
Leitrim meanwhile recorded 17 cases in the Carrick-on-Shannon area - pushing it slightly above the national average with 11 cases in the Ballinamore LEA with eight in the Manorhamilton LEA.
Nationally, Milford in Co Donegal once again has the highest 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 in the country.
The local electoral area's rate is over five times the national average.
