Planning permission has been granted for a new 36 metre telecommunications near Taughmaconnell in Roscommon.
The structure was put forward by Hibernian Cellular Networks Limited to be located at Lugboy between Taughmaconnell and Dysart.
Plans call for a 36 metre lattice structure carrying telecommunications equipment including antennae and dishes.
The development will also see an associated equipment cabin, cabinet, fencing and access gate.
A submission from rival telecommunications company Cignal Infrastructure Ltd in opposition to the plans stated they had an application for a similar development nearby.
County planners have approved the application with 9 conditions, including a ruling that the transmission power output and antennae type will not be changed with out permission.
