Planning permission has been granted for a significant development at a South Roscommon GAA club.
St. Dominic's GAA in Knockcroghery applied for planning to construct a new pitch, athletics track, spectator stand, and biodiversity and sensory garden.
The development includes a new training pitch, floodlighting, digital scoreboard, tiered spectators stand, and a new training area.
The site at Gailey just outside the village will also see the addition of an athletics track complete with long jump and high jump areas and all associated lighting.
As part of the plans, a new biodiversity and sensory garden will also be developed and a new pedestrian walkway installed.
Roscommon County Planners granted permission for the development with 11 conditions attached.
