The Chairperson of the Green Party in the northwest says the EU Nature Restoration Law is good news for farmers. The long-awaited law was passed by the European Parliament at a meeting in Luxembourg yesterday. It aims to restore nature on a fifth of EU Member States' land and sea by 2030.
Leitrim local elections candidate Blaithin Gallagher says it's good news for nature in all its forms. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, she said it would incentivise landowners to restore nature while creating further income streams for farmers:
