Greenlight given to Lanesboro energy development

Longford County Council planners have given the green light to a new local EirGrid development.

EirGrid PLC applied to conduct significant works on overhead lines in Lanesboro. The project consists of restringing the existing overhead line circuit conductor wires with a new higher capacity conductor. The work will also see the installation of a new fibre communication connection.

Longford County Council planners granted permission for the development with 12 conditions attached.
