Gyms across Shannonside region offer priciest memberships in the country

Gym memberships across the Shannonside region are among the most expensive in the country.
Findings outlined in today's Irish Independent show that the average monthly membership cost in Co. Leitrim is €62, the priciest nationally.
The figure is followed by Co. Longford, where a monthly gym membership costs an average of €60.70.
Co. Roscommon is also among the counties where an average subscription costs the most, at €59.

While the findings show that memberships are the most expensive in Leitrim, there is a lower number of general access gyms in the county compared to other parts of the country.
Nationally, counties Westmeath and Waterford offer the cheapest gym memberships at an average of €44.
