A service for adults with disabilities in Roscommon has been praised by health inspectors.
The service is run by the brothers of Charity and was inspected by Hiqa in May.
This announced inspection of Oak Services took place on the 30th of May last but no residents were spoken to on the day as they were on a planned outing with staff.
Oak Services comprises two houses in County Roscommon. One house is a respite centre providing services to both male and female adults with disabilities over the age of 18, and the second house is to provide a full-time residential specialist service for one male adult with autism.
Inspectors found that residents were enjoying a good quality of life and were involved in meaningful and enjoyable activities.
Management were also praised as inspectors claimed there "were robust management arrangements in place which ensured that there was a good level of compliance with the regulations, and that a good quality and safe service was provided for all residents who live in this centre."
Out of all 16 outcomes inspected, all were found to be compliant.
