Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says he's happy to meet with Oireachtas members from Leitrim and Sligo over the closure of the Cath Lab at Sligo hospital today.
The mobile unit had been operating two days a week at the hospital despite recommendations in recent years that a full time service be provided there.
The service is closing today because the private operators are pulling out from contracts all over the country.
Deputy Marian Harkin raised the issue again in the Dail in the last hour, asking the Minister to clarify what is being done to provide an alternative service at the hospital from today.
Stephen Donnelly says he has been speaking with hospital management on the issue, but the results of the national cardiac service review will be necessary to make any decisons on what can be put into the hospital for the future:
