Today will be the final full day of the current heatwave with temperatures to reach close to 30 degrees again.
A status orange warning for Cavan, Monaghan, south Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath will run out at 9am, while a similar status yellow alert for the country will run until tomorrow morning.
The hottest temperature in Ireland on Thursday was again in Roscommon's Mount Dillon where the mercury topped 30.7C.
It was the second day in a row the weather station in the region maxed out during the heatwave.

The North yesterday was 31.4 degrees in Armagh.
Conditions over the weekend are still to be good, however it won't be as hot as in recent days.
