A number of heritage projects across Roscommon and Longford have been awarded funding under the July Jobs Stimulus Plan for National Monuments.
Almost one and a half million euro is being awarded to a total of 71 projects across the country under the scheme which is aimed at offsetting some of the effects of Covid-19 by revitalizing local economies.
€31,000 is being awarded for work at Kilteevan Cemetery in Roscommon, while another €5,800 is being made available for work on Rahara Medieval Church.
Almost €6,000 is being granted for work on the Owen O' Connor Mausoleum in Ballintober, and just over €7,000 for Elphin Cathedral Conservation.
Just under €20,000 is being made available for work on Abbeyshrule Abbey Tower House, and €5,000 is set aside for Knock windmill, Lanesboro.
