A Roscommon residential service has received high marks from HIQA inspectors according to a report released this week.
HIQA's latest report follows an unannounced inspection of Fuchsia Services in July of this year.
Fuchsia Services is located in Roscommon, and is provided by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland.
The facility consists of three houses, which provide residential services to 13 male and female adults.
Upon entering the premises, inspectors engaged with the residents, who shared their positive experiences at the centre.
Residents appeared content and were seen interacting with each other, listening to music, playing games on their smartphones, and reintegrating back to their external day centres by car.
Inspectors noted that each house was well decorated and comfortable, with one of these recently painted a new colour, which had been chosen by a resident.
A visitor present on the premises reported that they were very happy with the supports provided to their family member.
The service received twelve compliances and one substantial compliance.
One non-compliance was found on the grounds of monitoring staff training and the assessment of risks, which required improvements.
