Hospitals nationwide are reporting high levels of patients attending emergency rooms, with 416 waiting across the country.
According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives organisation, Galway University Hospital has the highest level of people on trollies at 54.
That's followed locally by Sligo University Hospital and Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore where 28 and 26 people are waiting for a bed respectively.
Elsewhere in the region, 41 people are reported to be on trolleys at hospitals in Galway, Cavan, Westmeath and Louth.
