A Hiqa inspection has praised services for at-risk children in the Shannonside region.
Health inspectors examined the Tusla services for Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly last December focusing on the child protection notification system as well as child protection case conferences.
A total of five areas were inspected, with three compliant and two non-compliant.
Children and parents spoken to by officials shared positive experiences of the services and it was described as well managed and well-led with good governance in place.
