A HIQA report has praised the significant improvements made at a Leitrim care centre
The inspection was carried out in February of this year
Mount Eslin is a designated care centre for adult disabilities based in Eslinbridge in Leitrim run by Nua Healthcare
At the time of the inspection, the centre caters for 6 adults in a large two storey house on rural grounds.
Inspectors at the centre noted a marked and significant improvement since the previous inspection, with the "tense atmosphere" replaced by a "warm and pleasant" one.
Residents' wellbeing and welfare were actively promoted with the individual apartments noted as being warm and cosy.
Inspectors also pointed out the sense of trust between residents and staff, with 2 people saying they had no reservations speaking with staff about any issue they may have.
The centre was found to be compliant or substantially compliant in all areas of inspection including safeguarding and fire prevention.
