Health inspectors expressed concern over the level of staff who were left in charge of a Ballaghaderreen nursing home at night following an inspection last year.
Hiqa inspectors were unhappy that just three staff were in charge of up to 50 residents at the Oakwood nursing home, especially if a fire incident was to occur.
The inspection took place last September when there was 51 residents on the premises and 27 outcomes were analysed. Overall three non-compliances were discovered including staffing, premises and fire precautions with 24 outcomes rated as compliant or substantially compliant.

Inspectors claimed that 11 of 23 falls took place at night and that if a fire was to break out at a block that accommodated 12 residents, it would be difficult to evacuate them in a hurry.
Issues with the premises included the wash hand basin the laundry not being easily accessible as well as radiators showing evidence of wear and tear such as paint damage.
Inspectors noted that everyone who communicated with them was happy with the care in the home, and were confident about the care team.
