The centre was marked as fully compliant in areas including staffing, healthcare, fire safety and visiting, with a number of other substantial compliances.

Families requiring the service in the South Leitrim region have been forced to travel to North Leitrim or out of the county to access the vital support.

HIQA carried out an unannounced inspection at the house

Overall the inspector observed that the centre was very clean and in a good state of repair.

Many families in south Leitrim have no nearby facility to use and the situation was described in May as an emergency.
