Hollywood actor Chris O'Dowd will officially open Boyle Arts Festival today.
The Boyle native will kickstart the 10-day programme in King House at 8pm.
O'Dowd's wife, Dawn O'Porter, is also involved in the festival - as are star musicians Paul Brady and Rebecca Storm.

Sharon Tighe, from the organising committee, says tonight promises to be a special occasion.
