The number of people accessing emergency accommodation locally has increased once again according to new figures from the Department of Housing.
Data released over the weekend show that 176 people were accessing emergency supports at the end of July.
The figures show an increase of 12 individuals in emergency accommodation in just over a month locally.
The highest level is seen in Mayo/Roscommon where 83 people were in hostels, hotels or B&Bs at the end of July, a significant increase on the previous months figure of 69.
That's followed be Westmeath, where local authority homeless services were supporting 57 people, down four on June.
In Longford, the number of people in emergency accommodation increased by one to 25, while 11 people were homeless in Leitrim in the same period, up one on the previous month.
Nationally, 12,847 people were availing of emergency homeless supports from local authorities in the last week of July.
