It's hoped a major jobs announcement will follow on from planning permission being confirmed for a major expansion of Longford factory.
Longford County Council has granted planning to double the size of the Technimark plant in Longford town to 4,000 square metres.
The long-established company, formerly known as Longford Tool & Plastic, was bought out by the US firm last year in a major takeover.
Over 100 people are employed in Longford and it's hoped that the decision by Longford County Council to green light the expansion will result in more jobs coming on stream.
Longford Westmeath TD Joe Flaherty says it's very positive news for the town.
