It's hoped the opening of a newly refurbished childcare facility in Ballinamore will attract new families to the area.
That's according to a director of Ballinamore Childcare which has relocated to the former site of St. Patrick's Boys National School.
The community-run centre can now provide a full daycare service along with spacious play areas and catering facilities.
The project which cost over €500,000 opened last week and employs more than 12 people.
Gordon Hughes is confident that the childcare facility will bring people to the area and create new jobs.
