Longford woman Louise Lovett says she hopes progress on women's issue that has been made during the past weeks of pandemic lockdown can be kept when it ends.
The newly elected Chairperson of the National Women's Council of Ireland says there's no real way of knowing yet what emotional impact this lockdown has had on women, especially those in abusive situations.
She says though that some progress has been made on services for women as a result of the lockdown and there will be a challenge to try and make sure that these changes can continue as policy when some kind of normality returns:
