The chair of Roscommon Hospice says the foundation hopes to expand its services over the next five years.
Speaking following the launch of the charity's five year strategy this week, Mike Smith says they hope to be in position to build a paediatric unit in time.
The plan which was officially launched by the Taoiseach Michael Martin also included funding for 2,600 home care hours.
While the Hospice has now built facilities in both Roscommon town and Castlebar, the Boyle native says fundraising is still needed to rollout new and existing services.
