The latest report from Daft.ie shows Leitrim with an increase of 19% in house prices year on year, with an average cost of a home there put at €174,000.
Prices in Roscommon rose by 13.4% with the average house cost there put at €187,000, and Longford prices rose by just under 10% with the cost of a home in the county now put at €178,000.
There were 17 new home transactions in Roscommon, down 32% on the previous year, there were 7 in Leitrim , down 70% on the past year, and Longford saw 4 new home transactions, up 33% on 2020.
The property website reports that asking prices nationwide rose by 3.8 percent between April and June this year.
However, data from the past 12 months shows house prices have increased by 9.5 percent across the country.
The number of homes advertised for sale has increased from 10,000 to 12,400 in the past three months.
Economist at Trinity College Dublin and author of the Daft report, Ronan Lyons, says a mixture of increased supply and higher interest rates could cause house price inflation ease.
