An appeal was lodged last year, with An Bord Pleanála this week overturning the decision by Longford County Planners and refusing the planning permission.

Longford County Planners are due to make a decision on the application on the 17th of January.

The entrance to the proposed development entrance would be through the adjoining Meadowbrook Estate, which led to a number of submissions from local residents.

TH Contractors had sought to build 20 homes at Carrownageelaun in Tulsk but have now been refused permission by Roscommon County planners.

Philip Rogers is seeking to construct 22 homes at Mill Race Park and Derawley in Drumlish.

Longford county planners have received the application and are due to make a decision in the coming months.

They'll include at least 25 affordable houses, and the rest will be council homes.

The council is due to decide next month whether to give the proposals the go-ahead.
