Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien will officially open the controversial €1.4 million civic space in Roscommon town today.
It's part of the public realm enhancement project, which Sinn Fein councillor Michael Mulligan described as a "falling down hay-shed".
Minister O'Brien will also visit Elphin to open the new fire station, which was recently revamped.
The cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council, John Keogh, says his Fianna Fáil colleague will also open almost 50 houses.
