The HSE has confirmed that it hopes to open the primary care centre in Carrick-on-Shannon in by March next year.
Construction on the multi-million euro facility which is at the rear of the Landmark Hotel, began in 2019 and it was originally due to open this year.
However, due to the pandemic work was stalled on site resulting in a delay to its completion and provision of services.
When it does open, it will be the new base for the Nowdoc service as well as visiting services including psychology, dietetics, and counselling.
The HSE has confirmed that works will be complete at the centre shortly and he planned opening date for the Primary Care Centre is March 2021.
