The HSE has called a meeting for this Wednesday to discuss the GP crisis in Williamstown in east Galway.
Residents in the town are gravely concerned they could be left without a GP service as the current doctor is leaving the area.
HSE staff from Galway primary care services have agreed to meet the Williamstown Action Group on Wednesday to discuss their concerns.
Independent TD for Roscommon-Galway, Denis Naughten, says the area can't be left without GP cover.
