The HSE is confident that the vaccine rollout in Leitrim is on schedule following the opening of the new vaccination centre in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The new mass vaccination centre, located in the new Primary Care Centre in the town, opened today with 2 booths running to vaccinate 120 people in age group 60 and over.
It will open for two days next week and will scale up to operate four booths when demand and vaccine supply increases.
People in the north of the county may still be called to attend the centre in Sligo, it will depend on location and accessed through their Eircode.
