The HSE is holding a meeting this afternoon to discuss the GP crisis in Williamstown in east Galway.
Residents are gravely concerned they could be left without a GP service as the current doctor, Gregory Kaza, is leaving the area at the end of this month.
The HSE is meeting the Williamstown Action Group in Tuam today to discuss their concerns.
Local councillor Declan Geraghty is among those attending the meeting - he says at least a temporary replacement GP is needed.
