The HSE is urging parents to make sure children and younger people are vaccinated against measles following a recent rise in cases.
A rise is the number of people infected with the disease in the UK and parts of Europe has raised concerns here. The MMR vaccine, typically administered in childhood, protects people from measles, mumps and rubella. The HSE has issued further information about the MMR vaccine at www.immunisation.ie.
