The Manager of The Hive Enterprise Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon says they have received more enquiries this year than ever before from people who may want to use the remote working facilities at the centre.
Colm Keane also says that having the service available has actually made the difference between some people coming to live in the area or not.
The Hive was one of several such centres across the country today who were allocated significant grant aid to reconfigure or develop their services.
Colm Keane says they normally have between 30 and 50 people who use the remote working facilities at any time during the year, and they'll be using the grant aid to develop this facility more.
