Hundreds of farmers are meeting in Limerick for a key summit on climate change.
The Agriculture Minister, Charlie McConalogue, is delivering a keynote speech at the event in Thomond Park.
IFA President, Tim Cullinan, says the sector's facing unprecedented policy challenges not just on emissions, but from other policies coming down the line:
We are very well placed here in Ireland.
We probably have the best climate conditions for producing food and we want to continue doing so.
This is having a huge impact on farmers livelihoods.
We have to ensure we can continue producing food here and have no reductions.
