Over 300 local students are set to compete in the Microsoft Dreamspace Competition in Edgeworthstown this morning.
The event will see hundreds of students from 12 primary schools across the county converge on the Edgeworthstown Community Centre for the coding based competition.
Students have been working with their teachers over the last number of weeks to prepare projects for judging, with a range of prizes on offer for participants.
The initiative has been organised by Longford County Council in association with Microsoft.
The event will also see a range of other services on display such as the Fire Brigade, Gardaí and the RSA.
