Hundreds of people are expected to travel to Carrick on Shannon today ahead of the Leitrim Pride Parade.
Leitrim Pride celebrates the LGBTQI+ Community in the North West, with a range of events taking place over the last week.
Attendees and marchers are set to gather in the Town from 1pm with the parade starting at the Circular road.
The route will see groups and attendees march onto the Dublin Road and move onto Main Street before turning to Bridge street and ending at the People's Park on Quay Road.
Events Co-ordinator for Leitrim Pride, Isolde Carmody says it's wonderful to bring the festival home to Leitrim:
" People have been waiting for these kind of events for many years, before I was involved with Leitrim Pride Parade I was involved with North West Pride and a lot of those events happened up in Sligo and at the time most of the people that were on the committee were from Leitrim meaning we had to travel to the next county to find a event that was inclusive of who we are and who we want to party with."
