A Longford woman violently killed in New York last week has been remembered as an adventurous and vivacious person who loved her family and friends with a passion. Sarah McNally died following an alleged assault at the Ceili House bar in Maspeth, Queens in the U.S. on the 30th of March. She was from Longford town and moved to New York around 10 years ago.
Mourners filed into a packed St Mel's Cathedral this morning to pay their respects to the Longford woman. The 41-year-old was stabbed to death while working in a bar in Queens, New York on Saturday, March 30th. Sarah was originally from Longford town and had been living and working in New York for over ten years. Her boyfriend, Marcin Pieciak, with an address in 76 Street, Queens, has been charged with her murder. Hundreds attended Sarah's removal yesterday and funeral service today, paying tribute to the popular 41 year old.
