The IFA Flooding Project Team chair Brendan Golden is seeking an urgent meeting with OPW Minister Kieran O'Donnell to seek a solution to the flooding at Lough Funshinagh. Roscommon County Council has closed the main Curraghboy to Athleague road while pumps are working around the clock to hold water back. There remains some hope of a resolution, however, following last week's visit by a Government Minister.
Minister at the Office of Public Works Kieran O'Donnell met with residents and local public representatives to discuss potential solutions. Speaking to Shannonside FM this evening, Brendan Golden described the situation as an emergency.
