Longford IFA Chairman Gavin White he hopes nationwide rallies around the country tomorrow will help Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue negotiate as good a deal as possible under CAP.
The negotiations in Brussels next week will determine the level of future payments to farmers and the IFA says a large cohort of the most productive farmers are facing huge cuts.
The farmers group also want to highlight issues under the governments Climate Action Bill and the dangers of setting targets without considering the real consequences for the sector.
Gavin White says tomorrow's event in Longford will begin on the Athlone road shortly before 11 0' clock and is not aimed at causing any disruption in the town.
Rallies will also take place tomorrow morning at 11am in Manorhamilton and Castlerea in Co Roscommon.
